It is to ensure safe, legal and accessible abortion cae to promote health and justice for woman.

I thought this group is a very active group but I don't know if I would ever consider joining because abortion is a problem that needs scientific knowledge to work on.

The fact that this group offers positions for interns who specifically work to defend abortion clinics shows the great difference in the attitudes of people in the respective countries about abortion. In Japan, there's no need to enlist volunteers or interns to defend clinics which offer abortion because abortion is widely seen here as a personal choice, whereas in America it is seen, mainly by conservative religious groups, as an action that is in the public sphere and subject to debate and protest. Some individuals and groups see the choice of a woman to have an abortion as being in conflict with a fetus'/baby's right to be born.
