Is abortion the same as murder?
When I took Mr. Satoru Ito(he is a professor of Religious Beliefs)'s class last year, he said that in the law, a baby is considered as a human being when his/her head is half out of the mother's body. From this point of view, abortion is not a murder as all of the body of the baby is still inside the mother. But thinking of losing a possibility of one life, I cannot strongly disagree that abortion is not same as murder.

I agree with you. I think it can't be said that abortion is not a murder even if all of body of baby is still inside mother. And I can't say strongly "abortion is a murder!" But, I surely think that baby is alive both inside mother and outsaide her.
I think that makes a very valid point and but part of it i still have my doubts. like why only the head or maybe what would happen if the baby came out backwards? other than that i would agree with you. But on the contrary the baby has to come out of the mother even if the mother gets a abortion. So in retrospect wouldnt that still make the baby a person?
This is a very difficult matter to answer, actually there may be no answer.
But I think people should always think about abortion whether it's murder or not.
For me, abortion is a murder for sure though it is needed.
Ethically thinking, it is involved in religion in some countries.
I really agree with you. When I heard about baby's life in the point of law, it was a terrible shock to me. I think baby becomes a human beings when mother got pregnant. Because even if baby has been inside mother and he died, mother and families become so sorrowful. Same as us, baby inside mother gives us sadness or happiness. I can't say that abotion is totally same as murder, but those are similar. I suggest mothers who choose abotion were of course so sad in fact, so it might be diffucult but if it's possible, I want to know their thoughts and feelings.
I think if it is murder or not, it depends on how you(mother)feel. I think it is murder, but what will you do if you get pregnant right now?? You don't have enough money to raise your child, you might have to quit your school...

I remembered that what Mr.Ito said last year at the class. It is a very difficult question. When he showed us a picture of a little baby who is still inside his mother's body, I realised the true gravity of this problem.....
I wonder if it's the most important of the definition of murder. While i don't think it's a murder, i wonder if abortion is an indirect murder...
However, if Mr.Ito's theory is true, it can be said that it's not not a murder.
